What is the Plus Open Autonomy Platform?
The Plus Open Autonomy Platform was designed to be the autonomous vehicle industry’s first open autonomy software system, enabling autonomous driving capabilities on any hardware platform and vehicle manufacturer. It is the brain that connects all systems needed to enable autonomous driving capabilities – from the sensor suite that is seeing the world, to the computing platform that quickly processes all the data, to the actuation systems that control steering, braking, and the engine of the vehicle.
We focus on autonomous driving software while enabling our customers in the automotive ecosystem to configure the Plus Open Autonomy Platform to create highly competitive and scalable products at the right performance-to-cost ratio for their needs through our ready-to-go reference designs and software licenses.

Localization and mapping
Mapping refers to building and updating maps to aid in navigation, perception, planning, and localization. Localization is the process of estimating the location of the AV on a given map
Online software responsible for identifying sensor data containing interesting events to learn from and improve vehicle response to those events in subsequent software releases
Motion planning/drive policy
Module responsible for converting perception inputs into high-level vehicle behavior and motion decisions
Operational Design Domain Management
Decide whether the AV is operating within its operating domain (factors include geographic location, weather, road geometry, and vehicle state)
Human Machine Interface (HMI)
Communicate upcoming AV software situational awareness, decisions and actions to the human driver using visual and audible alerts
Convert planning decisions into controls commands for steering, brake and throttle
Targetless sensor calibration
Calibrate all sensors using data from natural driving which can be as part of regular operations. No special calibration targets are needed

How to engage with Plus?
The Plus Open Autonomy Platform is designed to meet specific needs of our customers. Our open platform enables customers to quickly achieve advanced L2++ functionality on their vehicles, while retaining ultimate control over their autonomy solutions.
Plus can usually deploy the L2++ solution for customer’s vehicle via a proof of concept program within 12 weeks. Customer may then choose from a full range of engagement models with varying levels of internal vs external support for production model releases.
