David Liu
David Liu is the CEO and Co-Founder at Plus. He helps set the company’s overall strategic direction to realize its vision of making transportation safer, easier, and greener by developing a suite of autonomous driving solutions, from highly automated to fully autonomous.
David began his career at Hewlett Packard, Silicon Graphics, and later McKinsey. He then went on to build several successful companies with innovative technology-driven products. He co-founded RMG Networks to build the largest out-of-home digital media network in North America and served as its CTO until its successful IPO. Later, David founded RedAtoms, a mobile gaming operator that developed Asia’s top grossing game in 2012.
David holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.
Shawn Kerrigan
Shawn Kerrigan, Ph.D., is the COO and Co-founder at Plus. Under his direction, the company is making transportation safer, easier, and more sustainable by developing a suite of autonomous driving solutions, from highly automated to fully autonomous.
Prior to Plus, Shawn was CTO and Co-founder of a hardware and software company in the solar industry. His earlier experience includes investment work at Bridgewater Associates, as well as strategy and operations work at McKinsey & Company.
Shawn earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his Master’s and Ph.D. in Engineering from Stanford University, where he conducted research across engineering and computer science, and first worked with artificial intelligence technology.
Hao Zheng
Hao Zheng is CTO and co-founder of Plus. He drives the company’s overall technology direction, leveraging his deep tech experience at successful startups and tech titans.
Prior to Plus, Hao founded and sold two technology startup companies. Prior to that, he was the senior director of engineering at Yahoo Labs and lead architect for Yahoo’s mobile search efforts. Hao has also served as the head of Yahoo’s Beijing Research Lab, and CTO for Zynga Asia.
Hao received master’s degrees in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. He also attended the PhD program in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University.
Tim Daly
Tim Daly is the Chief Architect of Plus, where he is helping to develop a new state-of-the-art, Level 4 self-driving system using deep learning and advanced AI techniques. He has over two decades of technical leadership experience in challenging domains, including artificial intelligence (AI), web search, machine learning, and distributed computing.
Tim has an expansive body of technical contributions in areas including the web search architecture and machine learning ranking system of the third largest search engine in the world. He has also made significant open-source contributions to cloud infrastructure and programming languages, and received the best paper award at KDD.
He has been granted 41 patents and has over 40 pending applications in self-driving technology.
Steve Spinner
Steve Spinner is the Chief Financial Officer at Plus where he manages the financial, legal, human resources and administration functions as the company continues its commercial deployment and global expansion. Previously he was the Advisor to the CEO for Finance & Strategic Initiatives. Steve has nearly 30 years of business and technology experience, working at large, medium and start-up companies in Brussels, Hong Kong, Atlanta, New York and Silicon Valley. Steve has spent the last two decades as CEO of two startups he co-founded, both in the data sciences space. He also had the honor of serving in the Obama Administration as a senior member of the Department of Energy's Recovery Act team.
Steve spent his early career as a management consultant at McKinsey & Co in Europe and Asia. He also worked in marketing & business development for the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Games and then with the National Broadcasting Company in New York and in San Francisco at increasing levels of management roles, lastly as a Senior Vice President.
Steve received his bachelor's degree from Wesleyan University and his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
Jon Morrison
Jon Morrison is the Chief Revenue Officer at Plus. Morrison's focus is on creating additional revenue streams as Plus enters an exciting new growth phase, defined by groundbreaking technology innovations and commercial partnerships with global vehicle manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, fleets and infrastructure providers.
Morrison has over 40 years of experience developing, commercializing and scaling automotive and safety technology in the passenger car and commercial vehicle industries. He served most recently as President of the Americas for WABCO / ZF, where his team grew the global vehicle electronics and telematics firm into a $1 billion enterprise through acquisitions and organic growth. A longtime advocate for vehicle automation and transportation safety, Jon launched the first commercial vehicle active braking system in North America in 2007. He is currently an independent board director at Aperia Technologies and serves in an advisory capacity to several leading companies in the industry.
Sunny Choi
Sun-Mi “Sunny” Choi is Vice President of Business Development at Plus, where she leverages her expertise in the new mobility landscape and global market understanding to build meaningful partnerships to support Plus’s global deployment of its autonomous driving technology.
Prior to Plus, Sunny spent a decade at Bosch, starting in Bosch's corporate headquarters for Marketing and Sales in Stuttgart, then relocating to Shanghai where she served as Chief of Staff to the Board Member responsible for Asia Pacific. In 2019, she moved to San Francisco and took on global responsibility for business development, focused on developing business partnerships between tech start-ups in the connected, electrified and automated new mobility space in Silicon Valley and Bosch. Sunny started her career at Siemens in Germany as a commercial project manager.
Sunny obtained her undergraduate degree in business administration from Berlin School of Economics and Law, and her masters in business administration from Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea.
Wiley Deck
At Plus, Wiley is leading the company’s Government Affairs and Public Policy strategy and outreach, including working with regulators and other key stakeholders to ensure the safe deployment of autonomous trucks, starting with driver-in autonomous trucks. Wiley most recently served as the Deputy Administrator of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration in the U.S. Department of Transportation, where he managed a $600 million budget and was responsible for regulating 530,000 trucking companies, 12,000 bus and motor coach operators and nearly 4 million interstate commercial driver’s license (CDL) holders. Prior to that role, he served as Senior Policy Advisor to the Secretary of Transportation and Director of Governmental Affairs at the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. Prior to joining the U.S. Department of Transportation, Wiley served in the U.S. House of Representatives in various roles for over two decades, including Director of Oversight and Investigations for the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and Chief of Staff for a senior Member of Congress. Wiley received a B.A. in International Affairs and American Government from the University of Central Florida.
Robert Dingli
As the VP of Systems and Safety at Plus, Robert leads the vehicle integration, systems engineering and functional safety efforts for Plus’s autonomous driving system. Robert has over thirty years of experience in automotive engineering and R&D management with deep expertise in autonomous vehicle systems engineering and integration. He has been a hands-on technology leader, engineer, and entrepreneur within the automotive industry.
Prior to joining Plus, Robert worked at Tesla’s Autopilot Autonomous Vehicle Team where he oversaw the development and promotion of functional safety, integration, and controls architecture. Previously, Robert spent ten years at Ford Motor Company and General Motors-Holden where he held senior development engineering positions. Robert started his career as a founder of an engineering consulting firm that provided electronic solutions for custom automotive applications.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Melbourne in Australia
Anurag Ganguli
As Vice President of R&D at Plus, Dr. Anurag Ganguli defines and implements the product roadmap and development milestones of the company’s Level 4 autonomous driving technology. He also plays a key role in the development and commercial deployment of Plus’s most advanced driver assist solution, PlusDrive.
Prior to joining Plus, Anurag was a research manager at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), working on a number of technologies for Intelligent Transportation Systems. His previous roles also included developing collision warning systems for cars and autonomous drones at Delphi and UtopiaCompression Corporation.
Anurag received a Bachelor of Technology degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, India, and his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Urbana. Anurag was a finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at the American Control Conference in 2005 and the recipient of the Best Student Paper Award at the American Control Conference in 2006.
Chuck Joseph
Chuck Joseph leads Strategic Partnerships at Plus. He has over 25 years of executive leadership experience across multiple industries, having served in corporate officer and board of directors’ level capacities for eight technology centric startup companies as well as multinational Fortune 1000 enterprises.
Prior to joining Plus, Chuck served as Senior Business Development Executive for Amazon’s Middle Mile Transportation organization. Before Amazon he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hemisphere GNSS (HGNSS), a leader in Telematics technology systems serving the transportation, marine, aviation and agriculture industries. Prior to that, Chuck was Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Nusola Inc., a solar energy technology company. He has also held executive roles at Immersion Corporation, BlueArc Corporation, Magellan Corporation, and Trimble Navigation.
Chuck holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Marquette University.
Amit Kumar
Amit Kumar is VP of Engineering and a product owner/general manager (GM) for Plus’s first commercially deployed highly automated driving solution PlusDrive. As a product owner/GM of PlusDrive, Amit is responsible for its roadmap and implementation, commercial partnerships and overall P/L. As a VP of Engineering, Amit plays a pivotal role in the development and global commercial deployment of the company's autonomy platform, and enhanced ADAS and autonomous solutions.
Prior to Plus, Amit had extensive experience in designing and developing high performance, large scale, web-based distributed systems with a focus on solving problems in information retrieval and conversational agents. Previous experience include senior roles at Yahoo! Inc for over a decade and Quark Inc.
Amit has more than 15 patents granted & 6 pending across the self-driving industry and distributed systems.
Amit received his Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow in India.
Lauren Kwan
Lauren Kwan is Vice President of Marketing at Plus where she leads global marketing and communications strategy and programs. In this role, she drives marketing, communications, and branding across paid, earned, owned, and digital initiatives.
Prior to Plus, Lauren held executive leadership roles at global communications consultancy, BCW, where she led the San Francisco office and West Coast Technology Practice, and previously served as Deputy Market Leader and Head of Technology Practice in their Hong Kong office. She has worked with startups and global tech companies to manage their reputation and launch iconic technology products and services including smartphones, consumer drones, health tech, ed tech, and 5G. She started her career in management consulting at Toffler Associates.
Lauren earned her bachelor of arts in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and her joint Master’s in Accounting and Master’s in Business Administration degree from Northeastern University.
Derrick Nueman
Derrick Nueman leads the investor relations function at Plus. He has more than 20 years of corporate investor relations, finance and capital markets experience.
Prior to joining Plus, Derrick served in senior executive roles in investor relations and finance at a number of leading global technology companies including Opera, Pandora, TiVo and Ask Jeeves, where he helped create significant shareholder value. He started his career as an equity research analyst at JP Morgan covering the internet sector.
Derrick received his B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Yefei Peng
Yefei Peng is VP of Data at Plus.
Yefei is a machine learning expert, and has applied his technical expertise across fintech, transportation services, internet search, and data analytics. Prior to Plus, Yefei was Senior Director of Engineering and led the digital finance platform department at fintech company, Ant Financial. Before that, he was Head of Engineering for the pricing, engagement, and personalization teams at Uber where his teams applied advanced machine learning technology to grow Uber's marketplace efficiently by optimizing where, when and how every dollar is spent globally. He was also previously Tech Lead, Member of Technical Staff at Google and Machine Learning Scientist at Yahoo Labs.
Yefei received his bachelors degree from Tsinghua University and his masters degree from Purdue University. For his Ph.D. from the University of Pittsburgh, he focused on neural network, machine learning, information retrieval, and semantic web.
Amisha Vadalia
As the Vice President of Operations at Plus, Amisha helped build and now oversees industry-leading operations, safety processes, trainings, and pilot programs that pave the way for the safe commercial rollout of Plus’s advanced driver assist system and autonomous driving solutions. The operations team under Amisha’s leadership coordinates testing and data collection, manages the supply chain, and supports national customer deployments of Plus’s first commercial product, PlusDrive.
She previously worked in the renewable energy sector, leading operations at a solar monitoring and data analytics company.
Amisha graduated from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, where she received a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Management.
