Plus (formerly Plus.ai), a leading provider of self-driving truck technology, announced that Chuck Joseph, a former senior executive of Amazon’s Global Transportation Technology team, has joined the company as Vice President, Strategic Partnerships. Joseph will draw on his unique understanding of advanced transportation technologies used to operate a world-class private fleet to work closely with fleets to leverage the safety, fuel efficiency, and operational benefits offered by automated trucking.

“We are delighted to have Chuck join Plus as we expand our commercial deployment and partnership network. His expertise in how to tightly integrate automated trucks into fleet operations in order to bring out the highest operational gains is invaluable to us and our fleet customers,” said Shawn Kerrigan, COO and co-founder of Plus.

Joseph has over 25 years of business development and leadership experience across multiple industries, having served in corporate officer and board of directors’ level capacities for technology startups and multinational Fortune 1000 enterprises. Prior to Plus, Joseph served as a senior executive in Amazon’s Middle Mile Transportation organization where he led business development and mergers and acquisition activities related to the logistics industry, including automated driving technology.

“This is an exciting time to join Plus. The company’s technology leadership in automated trucking is second to none. With mass production of the Plus automated driving system starting this year, I’m thrilled to help expand our partnerships to all fleets keen on improving their safety and increasing their uptime,” said Chuck Joseph.

Chuck Joseph is the latest senior addition to the Plus team. Robert Dingli, an automotive industry veteran and functional safety expert, joined Plus from Tesla’s Autopilot Autonomous Vehicle Team where he oversaw the development and promotion of functional safety, integration, and controls architecture. Dingli has also held key engineering roles at Lyft and Ford, and now leads vehicle engineering and functional safety efforts at Plus.
