PlusAI SuperDrive™ Named to Fast Company’s 2025 Next Big Things in Tech List

The recognition highlights PlusAI’s pioneering AV 2.0 autonomous driving system and commercial momentum with leading global truck makers to launch SuperDrive™-enabled factory-built autonomous trucks

SANTA CLARA, Calif., October 15, 2025 — PlusAI, a Physical AI company commercializing AI-based virtual driver software for autonomous trucks, announced today that it has been named to Fast Company’s 2025 Next Big Things in Tech list in the Transportation category. This prestigious recognition showcases emerging technologies with the potential to revolutionize the lives of consumers, businesses, and society overall.

PlusAI’s pioneering Level 4 autonomous driving system, SuperDrive™, is an AI-native technology solution built for safe and scalable autonomous trucks. In addition to simulations and closed course testing, the large AI models behind the SuperDrive™ virtual driver are trained on over six million miles of real-world operations. Global truck makers including TRATON GROUP (Scania / MAN / International brands), Iveco Group, and Hyundai Motor Company are integrating SuperDrive™ on their factory-built autonomous trucks. Commercial launch of SuperDrive™-enabled driverless trucks is targeted for 2027. As part of this roadmap, PlusAI and Traton’s International are already running customer fleet trials along key freight corridors in Texas.

“This special recognition of PlusAI SuperDrive™ by Fast Company highlights the real-world impact of our AI breakthroughs and our deep partnerships with the world’s leading truck makers to bring factory-built self-driving trucks to market,” said David Liu, CEO and Co-Founder of PlusAI. “We believe that driverless trucks enabled by SuperDrive™ will not only make freight safer, more efficient, and more resilient, but also create new job opportunities and strengthen global supply chains.”

“Next Big Things in Tech is both a snapshot of the most interesting tech of the moment and a crystal ball that predicts the next several years,” says Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “We’re excited to share this list with our readers, and we congratulate the winners for their vision and innovation.”

This latest honor adds to PlusAI’s growing recognition as a leader in autonomous driving and transportation innovation.
